Meet the Team

Sarah Todd (M.Ed. ’13) serves as the Director of Career Development and the Director of First Year Advising. As a career counselor and academic advisor, she loves guiding students as they take next steps towards their future goals and professional pathways. In her role as an adjunct, she teaches First Year Seminar (INST 150) as well as courses in Young Adult Literature and career development. Her engagement with first years both inside and outside the classroom motivated her to conduct research on first year experience, culminating in her first solo article publication. A lifelong Philadelphia-area resident, she loves spending time with her rescue dog, drinking Wawa iced coffee, and reading YA literature.

Abigail Brooke is an Eastern University alumni (‘20), holding Bachelor’s degrees in both English and Communication. Her time in the Center for Career Development began as an undergraduate when she was a student worker for the office, and after a stint in admissions post-graduation, she returned to CCD as Assistant Director. Abigail’s love for students and resourcing drives her holistic approach to career development, and she treasures the opportunity to support students as they identify and take steps toward their goals.

Amy Ballard (she/her) serves as the Online Career Coach for the Center for Career Development and an adjunct instructor for the LifeFlex program. Amy loves working alongside students as they discover how their education, experiences, and strengths can intersect in their work and vocation. She is trained as an adult educator and has spent over a decade mentoring and working with learners in community-based programs and colleges. She holds a M.Ed in TESOL and a B.A. in Sociology from Eastern.

Mackenzie Bancroft is an Eastern University alumni (‘13) holding a Bachelor’s degree in both Early Childhood Education and Special Needs. After graduating from Eastern University she worked in childcare and as a Family Assistant for a number of years before returning to Eastern University as an Administrative Assistant. Mackenzie works with both the Office of Faith & Practice and the Center for Career Development. She likes to say, “It makes sense, they’re the big questions offices. In one office student’s ask ‘why are we here’ and in the other office they ask ‘what do I do while I’m here.’ The work doesn’t overlap, but they go together in an integral way.” Mackenzie loves orchestrating peace through organization.
